Midland Elementary School

Work Hard and Be Nice to People

Welcome to the online home of the Midland Mustangs! We are one of five elementary schools in the nationally recognized, award-winning Paramus Public School District. A suburb of New York City, Paramus is located just eight miles west of Upper Manhattan.

Midland has a reputation for creating a safe and exciting learning environment to give our students their very best chance to succeed. We look forward to your continuing interest and support.

We hope you enjoy browsing our website to get to know our school better. Whether you’d like to contact a teacher, check out the latest school news, find information about the PTA, or learn more about our programs, you’ll find all that and much more on this website.

Principal’s Message

The Midland faculty and staff are a group of dedicated, energetic individuals. They have accepted the challenge of constructing an educational environment that is stimulating and caring, grounded in discovery and learning, with high expectations. It is a pleasure to work with them!

We are continuously making decisions about initiatives, programs, and staff development that define our district’s mission. Committees consisting of staff and parents work to develop events and programs that improve and enrich our school environment. We invite and welcome families to become involved and immersed in their child’s learning experiences!

Midland school’s most precious assets? The students! Our hopes are that they develop and maintain confidence in themselves as learners and valued participants in this community. We anticipate that they will grow to be happy and productive citizens who are able to work with others and look beyond themselves. We trust that they will be technologically proficient problem solvers and critical thinkers who are cognizant of the world around them, ready to function well in a technological age. Most of all, we are optimistic that they will emerge with the knowledge that there is always room and time to grow.

Sincerely,

Cynthia M. Hulse
